A little odd in the fit

 November 16, 2011

I am a little premature in rating this product since I just received it and have not used it in the water yet. However, I wanted to comment on the fitting. Just as a note, I typically wear a size 10 in women’s jeans and dresses. I went diving a couple months ago and I was a size 12 in their suit (not sure the brand) and it was comfortable. I ordered the 12 originally for this suit and it fit my body well. It was a little tight in the ankle area and short in the legs, but uncomfortably tight in the arms. I think if I had worn it any length of time, my circulation would have been affected. So I exchanged it for the 14, basically hoping for bigger arms. The body is now a little big on me, the legs fit nicely though they are now a little long. With the crotch in place, I have a little bunching going on in the knees. The arms are STILL tight, but not quite as bad. I think if I had more time, I would try a different brand. I will re-review it after returning from diving in the BVIs to see if it relaxed in the arms at all and how well it does in the water.

Great buy

I love this item and would recommend it to others. Great quality for the price! At first I ordered it in a 14 because I wear a large/14 in clothing but had to return it for a larger size. The 16 is too big in some places but overall fits well and I like the way the suit looks in person alot better than it does online. Bought this suit for snorkeling in 60-70 degree water and find that it worked well for the swim.

It does the job!

Great wetsuit but not for the cold water. I would not put this on in water temp under 65 degree. great for summer days in california.

Perfect for surfing in cool California waters

Love my O’Neill Reactor wetsuit! Yes, it was tight the first couple of times I put it on– but give it a chance– it *will* break in and soon fit perfectly… it just needs to adapt to your unique shape. OK… Putting it on the first time just about wiped me out 🙂 But it’s worth it! It’s a great price and a great product, and makes for great surfing fun!

Great

I love my wetsuit. It is very comfortable (I’m 5’4″ 135 pounds) and think the suit will fit if I gain or lose weight a bit. It kept me happy in the water (70 degree F water usually) for several hours. It kept me buoyant but didn’t impede me from diving, even without a weight belt. It stayed clean easily and was a great choice for me.

Great for tropical diving

I use this for diving in the tropics. It’s super comfortable and a great fit. It’s my 3rd O’Neill wetsuit in 12 years and I will keep on buying them and the price is better than any other quality wetsuit around!

Great buy!

Order a size 6 for my 5’3 110lb girlfriend and it fits perfect. Lots of flexibility and a snug fit. Would highly recommend this suit. Can’t beat the quality for the awesome price. Fast shipping too

Too short

I needed a wet suit to keep me warm while collecting samples in Central California beaches. Although the suit seemed to be of great quality and fulfill my needs (I am far to be an expert on wetsuits) I had to return this item because it was too short for me (my height is 5.67). Amazon allowed me to return this item free

Fit as described

No surprises! Looks good and is comfortable! Stretchy

A bit tight in the neck but I guess that depends on body type/shape. Really good for kitesurfing, or wakeboarding.
